SmallHD has just announced that their flagship monitor, the Ultra 7, is now available to purchase in ten different custom colors for the buttons, joystick, and bumpers. Also, you’ll get a color-matching antenna band for Ultra 7 Bolt 6 RX/TX models. So, let’s take a closer look at it!After the Ultra 5, which was released in September 2022, SmallHD introduced the Ultra 7 in January 2024. The Ultra 7 is a high-end monitor that features a 1920 x 1200 touchscreen display with a maximum brightness of 2.300nits, four user-assignable control buttons, two 6G SDI input/output and two HDMI input/output ports, and a locking 5-pin USB port for camera control of various ARRI, RED, and Sony VENICE cameras. The Ultra 7 is IP54-rated and designed to endure the most challenging shooting conditions with built-in bumpers around the monitor.During NAB 2024, we stopped by the SmallHD booth to discuss their Ultra 7 Bolt 6 wireless video transmitter and receiver versions with Matt Eidenbock.
