Adobe has now released both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2025. Both now also contain new AI features.
The aim of the new releases and their AI features is to make editing easier and faster than ever before. In this vein, Adobe has added new ways to combine photos, and remove objects. Create depth and modify colors through these new updates.
Let’s start with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025 and cover the main changes and new things it comes with.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025
The new AI features in Photoshop Elements 2025 consist of two key things built into the software.
The first of these is the ability to easily and swiftly remove objects just by brushing them away. This is possible through the software’s new AI-powered Remove tool and another feature called Object Removal.
Furthermore, Adobe has also introduced the ability to change a photo’s focal point through AI. You can do with with the new AI-powered Depth Blur filter, which automatically creates blur where you or the AI decide it would look best.
This lets you change the focus of an image to something closer in, or further back as desired. Blur strength, focal distance and focal range can all also be modified through the AI Depth Blur filter.
There are also non-AI features in Photoshop Elements 2025. These include all of the following:
Changing the color of any object: through automatic selection tools, you can pick any object and adjust its colors accordingly.
Combining images seamlessly: This tool lets you combine multiple images smoothly and naturally in flexible ways. Thus you can take the subject from one photo, objects from other photos and background from yet another image to combine them into a whole new artificial composite through Combined Photos Guided Edit.
Motion effects with Quick Actions: This new tool lets you create a perception of camera motion or other movement effects like animated frames and sparkles in your static images.
Textures and graphics: With this update, you can add new textured photo backgrounds to images and also embellish your photos, social media images or graphics.
Guided Edits: Adobe has also added in 59 different step-by-step Guided Edits with PS Elements 2025. You can use these for simple or complex image adjustments, custom work or unusual visual effects.
Adobe Premiere Elements 2025
For videographers and video creators, Adobe has also beefed up Premiere Elements in its 2025 edition. These aren’t AI-based but they’re still useful and include the following:
Dynamic titles and more text controls: Templates are now available for styling text to fit a storyline while new controls let you change size, direction, color, spacing and alignment among other things.
Precise color adjustments: A new White Balance tool and new color correction Curves let you make sure that clouds, snow and white details look perfect while precise color and brightness adjustments can be made as needed.
Adjusting footage color with LUTs: This tool lets you automatically change a whole video color scheme with presets or simply import and apply your own precisely.
Simplified Timeline: Premiere Elements’ new Timeline lets you have your video and audio tracks grouped together for simplified navigation. You can also find your most often used editing tools with a new Quick Tools menu. Individual tracks are now also lockable to prevent accidental adjustments.
Access to free Adobe Stock templates: Premiere Elements 2025 lets you pick from among a large selection of free pro-designed templates from Adobe Stock from right inside Elements.
Guided Edit: Adobe has also added Guided Edit to Premiere Elements 2025. These make it easier for both novices and pros both benefit from numerous guided instructions for specific editing tasks, creative effects and quick fixes during their video editing.
Adobe has also given both Photoshop and Premiere Elements support for Apple’s M3 chip, making these software platforms particularly ideal for Mac computers.
