Blow Dry System Comparison – The Small Things Blog

It kind of feels like a new blowdryer system with multiple attachments hits the market every single week. The Dyson Air Wrap started it all several years ago, and since then so many other brands have added their multi-attachment blow dry tool to the line up.

It can be hard to know which tool is right for you, especially with so many customized options, so I hope this breakdown will aim you in the right direction!

Shark FlexStyle™ Hair Blow Dryer & Multi-Styler for Straight & Wavy Hair , Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long , INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR DigitalAIRE Multi-Styler , T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler Blowout Kit

Make sure to head to my Instagram to find a video breakdown of all 4 of these systems!

Shark FlexStyle™ Hair Blow Dryer & Multi-Styler for Straight & Wavy Hair – One of the greatest things about this system is the ability to turn the base to a 90 degree angle for easier handling. Shark consistently delivers power in it’s tools and this system doesn’t disappoint. I think this could be a great option for anyone from short to long, fine to thick, and coarse to straight hair!

Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long – The price point is always a little bit of a heartbreaker with Dyson tools but if you like all the bells and whistles, or have difficult to style long/thick/coarse hair, this may be worth the price for you. There are two different smoothing paddle attachments, so anyone trying to smooth and straighten their hair will benefit greatly from the smoothing aspect of this system.

The concentrator for the rough drying part of using this tool is seriously intense, and I mean that in a good way. Dyson knows how to direct air very well, so the smoothing/straight flow of air out of the concentrator is very effective.

INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR DigitalAIRE Multi-Styler – Certainly the lowest price point of hte bunch, but it still delivers decent results! The tools lacked a little bit tension, so if you have hair that is wavy or coarse, is difficult to style, or super thick hair, I think you may find yourself frustrated by the lack of tension when using these tools. When I talk about tension, I mean how the hair pulls through the brush and what kind of resistance you are getting, The more resistance, the more smoothing!

If you have short, fine, healthy, easy to style hair, you may be pleasantly surprised by this system!

T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler Blowout Kit – In the spirit of full disclosure, this is the system I’ve had the most experience with. Personally, I love the oval brush for adding tons of volume to my hair. The curling attachments are great and the concentrator is fairly decent for rough drying the hair. If I had super frizzy or coarse hair, I may benefit more from the concentrator on the Shark or Dyson system, but for me personally this one works just fine.

I know this is a lot to think through, and if it’s helpful be sure to ask your hairstylist what he or she thinks you would benefit the most from!
