Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2024: Everything You Need To Know

Saving money on tech is what gets us out of bed in the morning, and there are few better times to do it than when Amazon announces a big deal event like Prime Big Deal Days. The semi-annual sales see the omni-retailer dropping prices on products from all over the place, usually deeper than the competition can keep up with. And just like last year and the year before, they just announced we’re getting another one in October of 2024. Here’s everything you need to know about it (and what we know so far). We’ll update this as more info drops, and we get closer to the big day. What Is Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days?Think of it as Amazon’s second Prime Day for the year. Or Fall Prime Day (as opposed to Summer Prime Day). Like the first round of Prime Day back in July, Prime Big Deal Days is offering a cornucopia of deals, discounts, and savings for Amazon Prime members. Of course, some products will also be on sale for non-Prime members, but if you want access to everything, you best be a member! When Is Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2024? Amazon hasn’t given out official dates for the October Prime Big Deal Days. In their official announcement, they just say that it will be “in October.” Last year’s Prime Big Deal Days were on October 10-11. That was a Tuesday and a Wednesday. If they follow the same pattern, Prime Big Deal Days 2024 should be somewhere in the middle of the month. That would be smart to take advantage of what is payday for many employees paid twice monthly. Is Prime Big Deals Days Only for Prime Members? If you want to get the best discounts during Prime Big Deal Days, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member. If you haven’t signed up, it’s free to join for 30 days, after which it’s $139 per year (or $14.99 per month). You can always sign up for a monthly account and cancel later, if you don’t feel guilty doing that. Once you’re signed up for Prime and logged in, the Amazon website and apps will display Prime-exclusive prices. Once you’ve got your Prime Membership locked in, explore all of its benefits and learn some tips and tricks for taking advantage of deals, faster free shipping, and more. What Is Amazon Prime?Launched in 2005, Prime was originally a way for frequent shoppers to get free two-day shipping within the continental United States. Over time, the company has continued to add benefits and features to the subscription, including access to the massive streaming Prime Video library, grocery delivery, Amazon Music, prescriptions, and much more. Here’s our complete rundown of what you get with Prime right now.Can I Get Amazon Prime for Free? For a 30-day free trial, yes. After that, you’re locked in to pay. You might not have to shell out the full price, though. There are ways to pay less than $139 for Prime, though, including student accounts and discounts for EBT, SNAP and Medicaid recipients. What’s On Sale During Prime Big Deal Days? You’re guaranteed price drops on thousands of things during Prime Big Deal Days. One category that is absolutely certain to have big discounts is Amazon-branded products. We always see deals on Kindles, Echo smart speakers and hubs, Fire TV devices and smart TVs, eero mesh networks, Ring and Blink security cameras, and more. Amazon will probably have pre-sales in the lead-up to Prime Day, in addition to deeper discounts on the actual sale days, so stay alert if you’re looking to upgrade your smart home devices. How Do I Find the Best Deals on Prime Big Deal Days?Right here, of course! We’ll be sorting through categories, comparing prices, and spotlighting the must-have products for the entire 48 hours of the sale.
