The popular ROG Zephyrus G gaming laptops are certainly eye-catching with their aluminum chassis and, in some models, customizable LED matrix across the lid. During CES 2024 earlier in the year, we got hands-on with the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 line, which would be updated with a slimmed down design as well as the latest CPUS from both AMD and Intel. Well, the wait is over! You can get one of these ultraportable, ultra powerful Asus ROG G16 gaming laptops on sale right now.
I purchased an older model of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop on sale—nothing fancy; just an RTX 3060, a 1TB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. It’s an excellent computer that handily meets my gaming needs, but when I’m on the market for an upgrade, an OLED display is definitely on my wishlist. This Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 not only provides power in spades, it includes a generous 16-inch OLED screen with a rapid 240Hz refresh rate that will all but negate the need for a secondary monitor. Thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU and RTX 4070 GPU, the only thing you’ll need to worry about upgrading any time soon is the RAM (a simple enough fix) and maybe purchasing an external SSD if you have way more games and screen captures than your average gamer.
