Is Justin Bieber’s Lost Myself at a Diddy Party Song Real?

The accusations against Sean “Diddy” Combs are intensifying, with all people who’ve had a relationship with him over the years have come under the microscope. Justin Bieber is one of those people, but a song that appears to be by the Canadian pop star has gone viral for all the wrong reasons—but is it real?

The mysterious song has been doing the rounds on TikTok over the last weekend of September, a few weeks after Diddy was arrested on multiple charges including sex trafficking and abuse, and the details of his now-infamous parties were laid bare. Bieber has reportedly distanced himself from his former mentor, who took him under his wing at age 15.

The lyrics to the aforementioned song go as follows: “Lost myself at a Diddy party, didn’t know that’s how it go, I was in it for a new Ferrari, but it cost me way more than my soul, wasn’t worth all the fortune and fame.” It’s been used in more than 4,500 TikTok videos alone.

According to CBS, though, the song is likely completely manufactured. Researchers put the audio through various AI-detecting software to conclude the song is a fake. “AI is [going to] be able to help anybody create a song easily, quicker, more efficiently,” Stephen Stahl, co-founder of Ai-SPY, told the outlet. “The downside is that everybody will be able to create a song. So talent is no longer a prerequisite to construct a great song.”

Bieber and Diddy have a rather long history dating back to 2009. Bieber posted a video of him hanging out with Diddy for 48 hours on his YouTube channel, though Diddy “refused” to disclose what they were up to at the time. “You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy,” the rapper said in the video. “They’re having the times of their lives.” Combs added, “Where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”
