It’s Motorola’s 96th Birthday and Some of Their Best Smartphones Are on Sale

Motorola is celebrating its 96th anniversary (wow, and they look so young still). We thought it’d be the perfect moment to gather some of the best deals we’ve seen on the latest Motorola smartphones. We’re talking savings of up to $400 that will make you add these to your cart faster than you can flip open a Razr+.

Budget-friendly phones are our favorite because you get loads of power for a fraction of the price you’d pay for a flagship device. The Motorola G Power 2024 is a solid example of that, especially now that it’s on sale. This is a phone we gave an “Excellent” rating in our review and even our Editors’ Choice award, with our expert praising the phone’s long battery life and solid performance. One awesome feature of this device is the fact that it supports wireless charging of up to 15W, something you won’t find in most phones in this price range (along with that $50 discount).

The Motorola Edge+ 2023 is one of the best high-end Android phones under $1,000. Now that number is $500 thanks to the anniversary sale. In our review, we gave it an “Excellent” rating and our Editors’ Choice award for its combined excellent performance, attractive design, and superb battery life. “The phone features proprietary 68W TurboPower wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W wireless power sharing. We charged the phone by 20% in just 15 minutes with the included 68W wired charger, which is fantastic for such a large battery,” according to our expert. This makes for an even more impressive phone, especially given how affordable the phone is following its consistent discount.

“The Motorola Razr targets younger buyers looking to flip out over foldables. It’s not the most powerful or feature-rich folding phone, but it’s the most affordable and still offers plenty of appeal for those seeking to have fun on the flip side,” our expert notes in our review. The outer display also delivers important info, including battery percentage, as well as the date and time. It’s not that much, but it’s at least going to allow you to avoid opening your phone. This budget-friendly flip phone is more than a beautiful device, it’s now $300 off.

The Motorola Razr+ is a phone we easily gave an “Excellent” rating to when we reviewed it thanks to its excellent display (two of them, in fact). The external screen offers a wide range of functions, even doubling as a viewfinder mirror, so whoever you’re taking a photo of can actually see the picture. The best part, however, is that you can run almost any Android app on that external display. “With a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, direct sunlight poses no visibility issues. Music and podcast playback are easily controlled, reading articles and ebooks is perfectly enjoyable, and watching YouTube feels a little silly, but works,” our expert noted of his experience.

Recommended by Our Editors

The Motorola Moto G Power has a great battery life and delivers a solid performance, as we reveal in our review. “Regarding the quality of the photos, the primary camera will capture decent-looking pictures in good lighting. However, like many affordable phones, the cameras struggle as soon as the lighting gets iffy,” our expert notes. That is something to be expected for a phone that costs less than an Apple Watch, however.
