Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil has been making waves across Tiktok and it’s understandable as the brand does bring out banger after banger in the world of fragrance. If you haven’t tried Nebras yet please, please do so. And Lattafa Eclaire another gorgeous fragrance!
That being said, I do walk into Arabic fragrance purchases with a lot of caution lately. The dishonesty on Tiktok is insane all in the name of selling and making commission off the hype of a mediocre product or in this case fragrance. People REALLY, really hype things up into a huge frenzy and let me tell you it’s working because people are buying, buying, buying…! The current product of the moment is WNP Hyaluronic Acid! Never heard of this product in my life but every other Tiktok someone is talking about it. Right now Tiktok Shop is at the height of its career (who knows where things will be January 19th though) and things are selling amazingly well. Everyone and their mother are doing QVC-like sales pitches to get you to buy anything and everything. Fragrance is particularly having a huge moment not only in the beauty world but on platforms like Tiktok. And sadly, not everyone is being completely honest. Aroma Concept is a very good example of this. They’re a massive retailer of a variety of Arabic brands and one of the brands they carry is called Paris Corner. Paris Corner in theory sounds like something I’d love but they’ve introduced this round of Ministry of Gourmand Fragrances that have absolutely BLOWN up on Tiktok. There are so many amazing reviews with people yelling, shouting, rolling on the floor and telling you how you NEED these perfumes. Unfortunately, with brands like Lattafa you’re pretty much forced into a blind buy purchase as you can’t go to say Sephora and do a little sniff check to see if you love it.
Well, none of them are good in my opinion. They smell cheap in my opinion and I’m not here rolling around the floor in fits yelling at you to buy them. I’m actually shouting at the screen for you to please don’t waste your money as I already did.
However, I will say, the Tiktokers aren’t lying about Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil. I was skeptical when I saw everyone yelling at me to buy this but curiosity got the best of me and I dished out my $35 to get a bottle and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. So much so I got a second bottle.
Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil arrives in a stunning gold bottle that’s extremely heavy. It has a snake-like design that surrounds the bottle and contains 0.65 oz of perfume oil. According to Lattafa it’s an oriental vanilla with notes of anise, caramel, tonka bean, vanilla, and musk. And if you guessed what this is a dupe for congratulations because I had no clue. I read the notes before purchasing it but not one single person who was screaming about this mentioned the fact it duped a very, very popular gourmand. I THINK that was intentional because I’ve noticed if you mention “dupe” in a commissionable post it will be taken down.
What is Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil? The ultimate vanilla gourmand which is Escapade Gourmande Extrait de Parfum by Maison Mataha. This smells identical to that $215 niche perfume. Escapade Gourmande is one of my favorite gourmand vanillas. It’s perfection. The end all vanilla. It’s sweet, warm, comforting, caramel, vanilla bliss. It’s perfection and Lattafa Maitha captures it beautifully in an oil formula. I think we get these dupes from time to time but they are slightly different than the originals but not this one. It’s identical to Escapade Gourmande right down to the Play-Doh like note that you may be familiar with if you love Lush’s long gone but beloved Snowcake.
If you own Escapade Gourmande I think layering it with Lattafa Maitha will create an intense scent bubble that people are sure to stop you and ask what is that wonderful smell. If you don’t, no worries, this perfume oil is potent and projects beautifully with an excellent throw and long wear. It contains no alcohol so you’re getting a very concentrated fragrance. It smells like the most perfect vanilla cake with hints of caramel and fluffy, creamy white frosting! It’s warm, slightly sweet, and just the perfect gourmand.
I’m in love with this perfume oil and don’t regret purchasing a backup! Currently, Oudlash is the retailer that sells it but they don’t see it on their website only via their Tiktok shop! Hopefully, for those that don’t have Tiktok this perfume oil will become more readily available on other retailers soon! Until then, I’d totally recommend downloading Tiktok just to get your hands on a bottle. It’s a 10 out of 10!
