The Venu sports streaming platform from ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery will cost $42.99 per month when it launches this fall. The companies say this is a “launch price,” suggesting it may see a price hike in the future. But anyone subscribing at launch can lock in that price for the first 12 months, though people can cancel anytime. The subscription will come with a seven-day trial period.Venu, first announced in February, aims to provide fans in the US with a single destination for watching the most sought-after games and events. The app will stream content from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, and ESPN+. This means subscribers can enjoy live game action, plus pre-and post-game shows, from major leagues like the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA, and more.“We’re building Venu for fans who want seamless access to watch the sports they love, and we will launch at a compelling price point that will appeal to the cord cutter and cord-never fans currently not served by existing pay TV packages,” says Pete Distad, CEO of Venu.
