Back in June (you remember June), we were way excited because we saw these headphones on sale for $248. So you can only imagine how excited we are, in the middle of August, no less, to see these Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones for their lowest price ever on Amazon. We’re talking 43%, which nets out to a savings of $150. That’s a significant amount of savings on a pair of headphones to which we gave a “Best of the Year” award!
Let’s just put this out there first, alright? In our review of the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, our expert claimed, “Simply put, these are the noise-cancelling headphones to buy if audio performance is your top priority, and they easily earn our Editors’ Choice.” They also earned an “Outstanding” rating of 4.5 (out of five, a rarity). But let’s dig deeper. While the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 might edge these Sony’s in active noise-cancellation (but not by much), Sony reigns supreme when it comes to audio quality (an audiophile’s dream). As for comfort, the “plush” earpads and under-the-headband cushioning are super comfy, especially when you’ve been wearing them all day at work. Best of all, they’re available in three colors (black, silver, and white), all with the same discount.
