The idea that someone you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with is happy without you can hurt, even after a divorce. But former NFL QB Tom Brady seems to be taking the news that ex Gisele Bundchen and her new boyfriend Joaquim Valente are having a baby as well as it can be possible to take them.
Brady reacted to the news by posting an Instagram story that felt a little emotional. The story, which consisted of a photo of the sunset, was paired with The Chicks’ 2022 song “Landslide.”

“Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?” was written out in the post alongside three red emojis. The song continues saying, “Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?” The song is a cover of a Fleetwood Mac original track.
Brady’s contemplative mood aside and the fact that the post seemed an obvious reaction to the news of Bundchen’s pregnancy, considering the timing, reports indicate he did not learn the news via the media. Instead, according to TMZ, Bundchen shared the news with both her ex and her children before the public found out.
It is unknown how long Brady and the two children he shares with Bundchen; Benjamin and Vivian have known about Bundchen’s pregnancy. TMZ also reported the model is about 5 or 6 months along in her pregnancy at this point, and both she and Valente have decided they did not want to find out the gender of the baby until the birth. Bundchen chose to go this same route with her other two children.

Brady and Bündchen divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. At the time reports indicated the divorce had to do with Brady’s decision to go back to playing football right after he announced his retirement. However, Brady apparently believes the romance started way before that, with a source telling The Daily Mail, ‘If she wants to have people think she has been dating Joaquim only since June, so be it, but they have been together longer and they aren’t taking it slow. Tom has accepted it.’
The exes are, however, cordial enough that Bundchen notified Brady of her pregnancy so he wouldn’t have to find out via the media. Brady and Bundchen share custody of their two kids.
And while Bundchen might be moving on, there doesn’t seem to be a new love in Brady’s life – at least not right now. Instead, the former QB is still involved with the sport he gave so many years to, this time in the FOX broadcast booth and negotiating to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. It seems everyone’s got their priorities in order.
