Paramount+ keeps working hard to establish itself as a viable option for movie and TV streaming. The service seems to be going big on music this month, with documentaries about U2 and Lollapalooza, along with serial killers, war atrocities, and more. In addition, we’ve got a compelling Korean drama, lots of movies, and more to check out. Here’s everything coming to Paramount+ with Showtime in May.Behind The Music: Season 2 (May 1)
VH1’s seminal documentary series is back in the 21th century with peeks into the rise and fall of some of the biggest artists in the industry. Now streaming exclusively on Paramount+, the new season features Bell Biv DeVoe, Trace Adkins, and Wolfgang Van Halen. That third one seems like the most interesting to me, getting deep into the life of the son of one of the most visionary rock guitarists of all time. These are always well-produced and full of cool stories.Evil: Season 4 (May 23)
Evil is a fun and surprisingly dark ride, and this is the newest season of the supernatural drama that lasted a season on CBS before becoming a streaming exclusive. When a trio of people are hired by the Catholic Church to investigate reports of supernatural phenomena, they find themselves challenged by forces beyond their control as well as the everyday evils of mankind. If you haven’t watched it, it’s sharp, twisted, and unexpectedly funny. This fourth season will be immediately followed by a fifth and final one.Pyramid Game (May 30)
Based upon a popular webcomic, this Korean series looks to have all of the drama and dystopian feelings we love. Sung Soo-Ji is a transfer student at a new high school who discovers that her classmates are playing the Pyramid Game, a group vote where the person at the bottom of the ladder becomes the target of organized violence.
